Takaragaike Park Sports Facility Ball Grounds, Kyoto City (京都市宝が池公園運動施設球技場)

Takaragaike Park Sports Facility Ball Grounds, Kyoto City refers to a ball field in Takaragaike Park in Matsugasaki Nishiikenouchi-cho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. Generally, it is often called Takaragaike Kyugijo (ball field). The facilities are owned by Kyoto City and managed by Kyoto City Amateur Sports Association as the designated manager.

Summary
As for soccer, from 1993 to 1994 when Kyoto Sanga F.C. belonged to the Japan Football League (old JFL), the F.C. held some official games there treating it as one of the home stadiums and for some time Sagawa Printing Soccer Club also did so, and now Kansai Soccer League held several games a year, but after the completion of recovering with artificial grass, the number of days when Kyoto Football League (old Kyoto Soccer League) uses it are dramatically increasing because the number of games which can be held a day has largely increased.

And as for rugby, it is widely used in major tournaments such as Kansai universities rugby league, Japan National High School Rugby Championships, Kyoto Prefecture tournament, Top West League (one of the subdivisions of Japan Rugby Top League) and so on, and furthermore it is also used in American football.

The field was originally covered with grass, but in 2005 autumn it was recovered with long pile artificial grass.
